Shiny Rocks Goods is no longer taking preorders for trading cards, hobby goods, etc. We are still selling used items, and clearing out the last of our sealed product inventory for eventually shutting down. Unfortunately the market did not cater to small hobby businesses and it left us in a bad position when it came to new product. We are still available on Ebay, TCGPlayer, and in person at Retail Therapy Longmont.
Thank you for all the loyalty and kindness, you, our customers showed us over the years. We're very sorry to see things end.
So long, and thanks for all the fish. - Crystal
-------
Shiny Rocks Goods has been a long time coming. I have always loved Pokemon, comics, manga, books, collectibles, and movies since I was a little kid. I also really love helping others complete their collections and find new and fun things that brighten their days!
I have been in customer service one way or another since I was in high school (retail, tech support, quality assurance, etc) and while I love to help people, I hate having the limitations on HOW I can help people be determined by the overlords of a company. So part of the impetus for starting this company was to let me do the crazy things you can't do as an underling (give away free stuff, charge less so I make less profit, and making things right when things go wrong!)
So here I am!
You might ask, "Hey! Where'd you get the name? Do you sell geological items?".
That's a great question! I do not... although I'm not opposed to it!
The name came from my first and middle name, both I share with, wait for it... shiny rocks!
Some folks grow up never using their middle name, but I grew up ONLY using my middle name, and it wasn't until I left that house that I used my first, hence why it means something to me. I have two names that are predominantly used, and so they are part of my identity-- that's why I thought my business name should reflect that :).
